NakedSword: 2008 marks your eleventh year in the industry. Considering how much we see faces come and go, that's quite an achievement. What, aside from being named NakedSwordsman 2008, has been the highlight so far? Colby Taylor: Actually, I started in October of 1996, so it will be my twelfth year. There have been so many high points over the years, but I think meeting THE Kathy Griffin at the 2007 GayVNs was amazing. She was so sweet when I got to talk her backstage! NS: Are you single or taken (not counting OUR passionate romance)? CT: There has never been anyone but you! Seriously though, I am quite single. Any takers? NS: Describe your ideal man. CT: My ideal man would be someone who allows me to be the person I truly am with no stipulations and makes me feel like I am the most important person on the planet. My recently deceased best friend always made me feel that way! NS: Tell us about your celebrity crushes? CT: I've always found Selma Hayek and Penelope Cruz to be fascinating women, but celebrities I'd like to fuck? I would have to say David Beckham, Eric Mabius and Christopher Gorman from Ugly Betty. NS: We've made it customary for every NakedSwordsMan to take Sister Roma out on an ultimate dream date. Describe yours... CT: My perfect date with Sister Roma would be one where I get to wear the habit while we are visiting a shooting range. Sister Roma LOVES her guns! NS: A lot of your roles have been a bit more complex than the typical shoot normally requires. In Getting It In The End you even played a set of twins! Why do you think directors call on you for these more difficult parts and how do you feel about acting in adult films as opposed to just... you know... sucking and fucking? CT: On the set of the first movie I was in John Rutherford saw my acting and said I was a natural. I've always found it easy to put myself into character if I understand the plot. I think acting has a place in porn. However, due to the changes in the industry caused by the Internet, stories must now be far less complex due to time constraints. The public now desires an even faster fix from their porn. No time for dialogue! NS: Is there anything you will never do in a scene? CT: Absolutely! You've seen "Two Girls One Cup", right? Well, that would be one of them! NS: Tell us something that none of your fans know and that isn't drug related. CT: Drug related? Damn! There go all my good stories! All kidding aside I don't think I ever mentioned that I was once certified to skipper a 30' sailboat. NS: How has your attitude toward sex changed since you came into the adult industry? Does being a porn star add pressure to your personal relationships? CT: My attitude toward sex has changed very little. I still enjoy the same things I did once I blossomed sexually. Being a porn star always adds more complexity to an already complex endeavor. NS: What do you most love about the adult industry? CT: One of the many things I love most about the industry are the friendships that I have made over the years. My life would not be as complete without many of them. NS: Is there anything you would like to see change in the gay adult business? If you had your say, how would the industry progress in the next couple of years? CT: That question is a tad too political to answer comfortably right now. NS: Most importantly, let's discuss the future. NakedSword has a lot of plans for you this year. What can we expect from you outside of your NakedSwordsMan duties? And don't give us any crap about saving the environment or feeding Africa. CT: Outside of my NakedSwordsman duties I will be directing the content of Falcon's newest site called Falcon Straight Men. We're going to be launching this site around the second half of March this year. I've directed a few small pieces in the past, but this will be my actual directorial debut. I'm very excited about it! Think about it Beautiful men are brought to me and I get to tell them to get naked and stroke it while I watch and tell them what to do. Is that a dream job or what?
